The Tigers looked to win a season high fourth game in a row, but the man upstairs had other plans for El Tigre. The Tigers held a 5-4 lead heading into the eighth but couldn't hold on as they lose 6-5 in St. Peter.

Zip Zellman, the crafty veteran, was called upon late to take the mound and pitch 7.0 innings giving up five runs (two earned), struck out seven and walked only two.

Holding a 5-4 lead in the eighth and a runner on first, Zip hand the ball over to Dave Feldt. Feldt did his part as the next batter sacrificed, followed by a pop out to the pitcher. Feldt then had the next batter ground to Ryan Witt, who's errant throw allowed the runner on second to score and move the other runner to second. The next batter singled to score the game winning run. The Tigers were unable to mount an attack in the top of the ninth.

Mike Dhaene led the offensive attack as he went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Witt went 2 for 5 on the night with a pair of doubles, while Zellman went 2 for 4 with a ribby. Pat Schultz was 1 for 5 with one run batted in.
